Convergence, Divergence
2021
Acrylic Yarn and Chain Link Fence
5.5 x 250 feet
Fremont, Seattle, WA
Supported by Seattle Office of Arts and Culture and Seattle Public Utilities
Commissioned as a part of FLOW: Art Along the Ship Canal by Seattle’s Office of Arts and Culture and Seattle Public Utilities, this work was installed on temporary construction fencing on the Burke Gilman Trail in Fremont. Since the construction was to improve the water drainage system, I was thinking of the flow of water in the watershed converging into homes, then diverging into drainage, treatment, and the Sound.
